Our previous article looked at how we work with our clients to rejuvenate a facility with a refresh of furniture or an entire new fit out.

What we find particularly inspiring throughout this process is the opportunity to explore fabric types and introduce new designs. The careful selection of colours, patterns, and textures of new fabric plays an important role in the “rejuvenation” process as they can alter the facility’s atmosphere instantly. Fabric lends the chance to inject positivity through striking colours, reflect calm with understated hues, invoke memories of times gone-by through a crafted look and feel, and many more options.

The Archer Care team are deft at breathing new life into existing spaces by introducing a fusion of new fabrics and furniture. A perfect example is the Perla Lounge Chair – a piece that is highly popular across lounge and waiting areas in retirement and aged care environments thanks to its superior comfort and striking fabric options. Made from a high-quality European beech frame, the Perla Chair can be polished and stained to match each facility’s decor and upholstered in the client’s fabric of choice. Introducing statement pieces like the Perla can change the appearance of a space completely, whilst minimising costs of an entire refit.

Naturally, our extensive range of fabrics can be tailored to fit the tone of every facility. For example, to add a dash of retro-chic, we recommend introducing plush fabrics which offer superior softness and feel luxurious to the touch. Plush fabrics which will not only spruce up tired furniture, but also make a statement whilst providing excellent comfort – our Bling Collection perfectly showcases the sleek appearance of new plush upholstery.

Highlighting the Archer Care team’s expertise and unmatched product offering available to New Zealand’s aged care and retirement sector is a recent project undertaken with the team at Selwyn Heights Retirement Living for their new Dementia Care Unit. Selwyn Heights is a Christian-faith based charity providing services to older people and their families, and we continually work with them to help keep their residents and staff and keep their well-known reputation of offering lively communities filled with companionship, fun and variety. The furniture chosen for this project included pieces such as the Mayfair Wingback Chair, Diana Armchair with castors, Rico Tables and many more and the Fabrics all based around warm and soft colours to create the community environment and a homely feel. With these projects, the Archer Care team is always available to help and support with refurbishments, new ideas, and ensuring projects like the Selwyn Village Dementia Unit are completed with ease, exceeding customer expectations.

Like our clients, we too understand how important the wellbeing of residents and patients is, whether it be providing specialised furniture that makes life easier or high-quality fabrics to make life more pleasurable. Our expertise and dedication are part of our fabric, and we look forward to working with our clients to accomplish many more achievements throughout 2022.
